Podgorica, 16 September 2016 – Marketing medicinal plants products, starting an agency for students’ jobs or fundraising for students entrepreneurial ideas – those were some of the ideas born at the workshop organized in the EU Info Centre aimed at increasing youth employability.
The workshop was organized by the Association for Democratic Prosperity – Zid, within a regional project “Regional CSO platform advocating social innovation under employment policies that guarantees security for youth at risks” and as a part of the EU funded international project “RESTART- Rethinking, Assessing, Activating and Evaluating Youth Organizations”.
The project RESTART is focusing on finding new methods and methodologies to increase youth participation in sociopolitical life on the local level, implementation of quality assurance framework and achievements of non-formal education in local communities.
Although the youth should be the social change creators, in Montenegro they are faced with difficulties in finding employment, and since they wait for their first job for three years on average, young people are facing the risk of social exclusion. That is why the workshop dealt with employment policies in Montenegro, social innovations and how social innovations can contribute to positive social changes and, among other things, increase youth employability.
