Green jobs for better future of cross-border region of Montenegro and Kosovo

About the project

Green jobs are central to sustainable development. This project was dedicated to generating new job opportunities in the agricultural sector in the cross-border region. It was focused on enhancing the level of knowledge and upgrading technical skills of local farmers, as well as promoting the farming sector as a viable opportunity for employment and self-employment in the targeted area, especially for young unemployed people.
During its implementation period, a mapping of agricultural resources in targeted municipalities in Montenegro and Kosovo was conducted and a Handbook for start-ups in farming business was drafted and distributed.
The project helped upgrade technical capacities of the farmers and promote agricultural products from the cross border region to the general public and businesses. In that way was created a good base for the future of rural communities in the targeted area.
