Thematic journey through Heritage Corridor from Serbia to Montenegro – CREATIVE TWINNING

About the project

Tourism is one of the most important economic branches worldwide and cultural tourism, based on cultural heritage, is one of the fastest growing types of tourism in the global market nowadays.

This project aims to develop a know-how model for preserving, valorizing, interpreting and integrating heritage sites along nature trails into a comprehensive natural and cultural tourism offer of the cross-border area of Serbia and Montenegro, and to jointly promote them.

In order to create a recognizable thematic tourism offer “CREATIVE TWINNING”, it will support the formation of a cross-border tourist cluster, which will connect 4 key heritage sites in Serbia to 4 twinning sites in Montenegro. With this project, light visitor and access infrastructure will be arranged to support the development of key products – for example, signposting and heritage interpretation routes for tourism purposes will be made. The project foresees implementation of a joint marketing campaign, focused on promoting “CREATIVE TWINNING”, which will help improve the economic and social environment of the cross-border area.
