Health has a gender

About the project

Domestic violence against women represents a serious violation of human rights. As such, it has to be prevented and eradicated. Also, the awareness-raising initiatives regarding the prevention of violence against women and the protection of victims have to be facilitated.

The project “Health has a gender” focuses on improving the protection of victims of domestic violence in the healthcare system, in accordance with EU standards and best practices.  Actually, it aims to improve implementation of the strategic and legislative framework in this area in the health care system, with the active participation of CSOs in law and policy making.

In other words, this project will enhance institutional mechanisms in the health care system for the protection of victims of domestic violence in Montenegro. It will also strengthen strategic partnership and cross-sectoral cooperation between CSOs and health institutions.
